Smart Immersion Heater Timer Switch, 40A 8000W WiFi Smart Water Heater Switch, 2.4Ghz WiFi Touch Switch with Timer & LED Indicator Light, Compatible

The Smart Immersion Heater Timer Switch has garnered a mixed reception among users, highlighting both its ease of installation and some significant concerns regarding safety and compatibility, particularly within the UK. Many users praise the product for its straightforward setup, with even novices managing to install it without significant difficulty, which speaks to its user-friendly design. The touch sensing switch and the inclusion of the CB3S module for enhanced communication features are also appreciated by some users, making it a viable option for those looking to incorporate smart technology into their home systems. However, there are notable drawbacks pointed out by users. A primary concern is the absence of an earth connection, which raises alarms regarding safety, especially for those hardwiring it into existing systems. This lack of protection has caused hesitance for users in the UK who adhere to strict electrical safety standards. Additionally, there are concerns about the product’s capacity for handling high electrical loads, particularly when paired with only 2.5mm cables, leading some to advise against using it for the maximum 40A rating stated. The integration with the Smart Life app, while functional, is described as lacking elegance, and users may want to explore alternatives for a better user interface. Furthermore, the product's open-source capability to flash with OpenBeken is a positive feature for tech-savvy users looking to customize their smart home systems. In summary, while the Smart Immersion Heater Timer Switch has been reported as effective and easy to use, potential buyers should weigh the safety concerns and compatibility issues before purchase. **
