Blu-ray thunderbirds Editorial Review
**** "Space 1999: The Complete Series" is a nostalgic treasure for fans of the classic sci-fi series, offering a vivid recollection of a beloved show from the 1970s. Viewers are greeted with magnificent colors and improved picture clarity, greatly enhancing the viewing experience of the original episodes. For many, this Blu-ray collection serves as a joyful trip down memory lane, with episodes that evoke a sense of childhood wonder, despite some elements feeling slightly outdated by today’s standards. The series revisits a unique premise involving the moon being accidentally hurtled out of orbit due to nuclear waste explosions, leading its inhabitants on a quest across the cosmos. Reviews highlight the charm of the storytelling, the distinctive characters, and notable special effects, recalling fond memories of entertaining plotlines and character interactions. Fans appreciate the packaging of the series into a complete set, offering excellent value for both long-time viewers and newcomers intrigued by its historical significance in the science fiction genre. However, some viewers do express a slight disappointment with aspects such as the running order of the episodes, particularly in the first season, which may be inaccurate compared to traditional listings. Additionally, not every critic Considers the acting or character development to hold up against more modern sci-fi benchmarks. Despite these minor critiques, most agree that the overall experience is enjoyable, especially for those seeking to relive past experiences or to explore the series for the first time. In sum, this Blu-ray release of "Space 1999" effectively merges nostalgia with enhanced visual storytelling, making it a worthwhile investment for fans and collectors alike. **
