The Wald 198 Front Bicycle Basket is a sturdy basket that fits most bikes and can hold an 18lb dog with additional padding. Tubular legs provide added stability for heavier items. It can even fit on a child's Woom 2 bike. The screws needed to mount the legs to the basket are 8x32 half inch bolts with lock nuts or a dab of Locktite on conventional nuts. It is not recommended to use this basket on bikes with drop bars as it is too wide and may interfere with shifting and braking cables. However, it can fit on thick handlebars, most 2-wheel bikes, trikes, and bikes with carbon fiber forks. The basket is not rustproof, but as long as the paint doesn't chip, rust should not occur. The metal is sturdy but can bend if the bike falls over.
