History Editorial Review
**** The "Corvette Stingray: The Mid-Engine Evolution," authored by Richard Prince in collaboration with General Motors, is a visually stunning and meticulously detailed tribute to the iconic Corvette series, particularly focusing on the evolution leading up to the C8 model. This hardcover coffee table book is celebrated for its impressive production quality, featuring a comprehensive array of full-color photographs that captivate even those beyond the car enthusiast realm. The high-quality, heavyweight pages not only enhance its aesthetic appeal but also ensure durability, making it a fitting addition to both personal collections and as a gift. Readers have praised its thorough content, which includes historical accounts, insightful design details, and specifications that go beyond mere visuals. Enthusiasts, whether seasoned veterans or new admirers, find the book informative and engaging, shedding light on the Corvette's storied past and its engineering advancements. The inclusion of noteworthy figures and development stories, such as the "Blackjack" development mule, adds further depth for fans of automotive history. Customers highlight the book as an exceptional gift choice for Corvette lovers and a fitting centerpiece for a man cave. Families note it’s not just for adults; children also enjoy the vivid imagery, sparking interest in automotive engineering from a young age. However, while the book itself garners widespread acclaim, a couple of reviewers suggested improvements in packaging, citing minimal damage to the dust jacket. Overall, "Corvette Stingray: The Mid-Engine Evolution" stands out as a must-have for collectors and car aficionados alike, celebrating a legacy that enthusiasts have cherished for decades. **
