Posthuman Studios Board Games PS+21201 Editorial Review
**** Eclipse Phase RPG stands out as a refreshing adaptation of the post-cyberpunk transhumanism theme, drawing players into a universe filled with exciting possibilities. The expansion book, "Gatecrashers," delves deeper into this intricate world by introducing the Pandora Gates, which serve as gateways to unexplored alien planets teeming with unique artifacts and potential adventures. Players can embody various forms of post-humans—including artificial intelligences and evolved humans—allowing for diverse gameplay experiences. The "Gatecrashers" supplement significantly enriches the main game, offering extensive details about the gates, the burgeoning cities around them, the governing factions, and the various missions undertaken by adventurers. The creativity in world-building is evident, with a plethora of ideas for exploration, colonization, research, and the inherent dangers of venturing into the unknown. The layout and art are Consistent with the high standards set by previous Eclipse Phase products, featuring vibrant graphics and an aesthetically engaging design. While some may find the design a little busy, it applies a magazine-style approach that many fans appreciate. Readers will find delight in the well-structured content, encompassing everything from gameplay mechanics to intriguing story starters, making "Gatecrashers" a valuable resource for both new and veteran players. Overall, "Gatecrashers" is not merely an add-on but rather an essential supplement for any gaming group eager to explore beyond the confines of known worlds. The book promises to rekindle excitement among seasoned players and serve as an accessible entry point for those less familiar with Eclipse Phase's complex transhumanist themes. ### Pros and Cons **
