Answer: No. It is a very stiff spring. I don’t think it ever comes into play. -

How do I adjust the pressure? i tried unscrewing the part where the red button is located but it will not budge. perhaps i need to try harder?
Answer: The red part is a non-adjustable safety valve that relieves pressure only if the water pressure is too high. Any adjustment to pressure needs to be adjusted via the pump.
