Using the correct brain ensures that all features of your remote start system function correctly and enhances the overall user experience.

How do I install the Firstech Compustar Replacement Brain?

Installing the Firstech Compustar Replacement Brain typically requires a basic understanding of automotive electronics. First, disconnect the vehicle's battery. Then, replace the faulty brain by removing the old unit and connecting the new brain following the installation manual’s wiring schematic. Secure all connections firmly to avoid any electrical issues. After installation, reconnect the battery and test the remote start functionality to ensure everything is working as intended.

What should I do if my remote starter still doesn’t work after replacing the brain?

If your remote starter remains non-functional after installing the Firstech Compustar Replacement Brain, check the connections made during installation for any loose wires or poor contacts. Additionally, ensure that the remote itself is functioning properly; try replacing the remote's battery. If issues persist, consult the installation manual for troubleshooting steps or consider seeking assistance from a professional vehicle technician to further diagnose the problem.

Can I use my existing remotes with the new Replacement Brain?

Yes, if you are replacing the brain specifically for the CM900-AS Remote Start System, you can typically continue using your existing remotes. The Replacement Brain is designed to synchronize with the remotes that came with your original system. Are there any troubleshooting tips for my remote start system?
