The MG Electronics MGT2420 Transformer is a reliable option for powering various devices. It is not recommended for outdoor use unless placed in a weather-resistant box. When connecting to a heater thermostat, the (+) should be connected to R/Rh and (-) to C. It can work with a August Doorbell cam but it is advised to use a fuse to prevent short circuiting due to moisture. The power supply has more power than needed for a sprinkler clock and should be properly fused. It can replace a busted class 2 transformer for an old Toro sprinkler control panel. Installation requires connecting the wires from the two terminals to the device requiring 24 volts. The transformer has three prongs and can be used for older outdoor post lamps. Output is 20 volts AC, not 20 amps of current. It is not suitable for outdoor use. Overall, customers have had mixed experiences with this product, with some experiencing issues after a short period of use while others have found it to work well for their specific applications.
