Tanglefoot Tree Care & Watering Editorial Review
Tanglefoot Tree Pruning Sealer is a product formulated to seal open wounds on any tree to protect it from infection and insects that could cause internal plant damage. It can also prevent excess sap flow. The product is messy, so it is advisable to wear gloves and hold it upwards when applying. It dries off to the same dark brown to black color that it was applied. The sealer is suitable for use on fruit, shade, and ornamental trees unless stated otherwise. It can even be used for tree grafting to prevent moisture loss. The product has received mixed reviews, with some users commending it for protecting their trees, while others find it too thick and gooey, making application difficult.
