The parachute can handle a fair amount of weight for landing softly, but limits depend on the weight of the rocket. Parachute attachment requires StratoFins or glued-on fins to a soda bottle, and the shroud lines loop around each fin, run along the side of the bottle, and are gathered together with a supplied cable tie. No additional hardware is necessary for deploying the parachute. The parachute is loosely folded up under the nose cone, which falls off and allows the parachute to deploy as the bottle turns. According to reviews, the StratoChute works well for school egg drop projects and dropping gifts at parties. However, some users experienced issues such as incorrect stitching and shroud line length.
