The Anchor 6079 Drive Shaft Center Support fits selected 1984-1993 Dodge Ram trucks with a 1.37” ID and 6.6” mounting width. It does not have a front or rear and comes in two designs for square and round center bearings. Installation of the new bearing will require pressing the old bearing off with a hydraulic press before a new one is fitted in its place. Bear in mind that a few thousandths smaller on the inside diameter of the bearing is what you are looking for. If the Anchor center support is not the right fit for you, compare the ID/bore of the bearing to Anchor part 6093. The product is suitable for a 2016 RAM 1500. Customer experience: Most customers found the center support bearing to be an affordable and exact replacement to their previous ones. The product solved their problem, and others found it of excellent quality. The packaging is said to be neat and secure with some customers mentioning the replacement dust shield that sometimes comes with it. However, a few customers had issues with the rubber around the bearing being soft and flimsy, with one customer stating it fell apart before installation. A buyer found it to be of the wrong size for their 2004 Dodge Ram 3500. Another customer found the product useless and a waste of their money. Some had trouble fitting the dust shields onto their driveshaft.
