what gauge should I use for normal skin
Answer: I use the ultra-fine ReliOn needles and I turn it to the highest setting. My skin is tough from years of testing. You may want to try from mid-range to test and adjust accordingly. -

Answer: It's pretty much like all the other lancing devices I've used. It does make noise when the spring action is released. -

Answer: No battery needed. Once you insert the lancet, put the cap back on and pull back on the top to set lancet. Hold to finger and press the button.
