The Wheeler-Rex 29200 Hand Operated Hydrostatic Test Pump has been used for various purposes including pressure testing fire extinguishers and small sections of pipes, and even for testing 1/8 scale model steam engine boilers. To use, one must connect a water hose to the visible connection at lower left and a 3/8" hose from the output to the fitting on the boiler or line. Then the hand pump is stroked until twice the static pressure of the boiler or line is reached, usually between 200 and 280 psi. The product is generally well-received, and some customers have used it for plumbing projects, with one customer using it for a 2.5 bath house with 400' of copper tube.
