The fixture has two sockets with a 40W maximum per Type-R bulb per socket. A variety of bulbs can be used with this fixture, including the Zoo Med mini 13-watt UVB bulb and the 35-watt nano halogen bulb. It is recommended to double-check measurements to ensure the fixture and bulbs fit in the enclosure. The Nano Combo Dome Lamp Fixture is well-made and feels sturdy, with individual cords for timer use and both lamps are individually switched. The nano UVB 5.0 bulbs are surprisingly bright for their low wattage and don't put off much heat. However, the 35-watt nano halogen bulb can get dangerously hot at close range and has a very narrow Goldilocks zone for placement.
