The HighPoint RocketRAID 2720SGL 8-Port PCI-Express 2.0 x8 SAS/SATA RAID Host Adapter is compatible with an HD bay expansion for the Lenovo ts440 server, and it runs on a PCI-Express 3.0 X16. It can also work in a PCI-Express x16 slot that is limited to x4 speed. The RAID card has different raid configurations and supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, and JBOD. Multiple arrays can also be set up. Firmware version 1.12 is recommended for using 4 or 5TB HDDs. However, the drivers for this card are not integrated into the kernel, and it can be complicated to get it working on modern Linux systems. It also does not support smartmontools, which might be a concern if you're using it for archival storage. On the other hand, this card is ZFS compatible and can be used for gaming and video encoding purposes.
