The Fishman Ellipse Matrix Blend is a combination of a Piezo Undersaddle Element and a Microphone which can be mounted inside the sound hole of your guitar. It works with both steel and nylon strings, but the Piezo Element may not be as efficient with Nylon strings. The new mic is round. The bridge size of the guitar will determine if you need the narrow or wide format. The unit itself is identical. The Ellipse Matrix Blend allows players to add another dimension to their playing that they did not have prior to installation, and it is designed to reproduce and project the true acoustic sound of guitars. However, some customers suggest that the product has no value due to the lack of instructions for installation and troubleshooting and recommend that it is installed by a professional.
