Although the ink appears to be more of a sparkly gray than silver, it still has a pretty sheen. Keep in mind that the contents of the bottle do settle at the bottom, so shaking the bottle before refilling the pen is necessary to maintain an even color distribution. The medium nibs work better with this ink while the fine nibs clog and have an uneven transfer of ink to the paper. Unfortunately, the product doesn't show up well on card stock. Overall, it's a great and pleasant ink that writes well and is worth purchasing.
