The Audeze LCD-X 2021 Creator Package features an over-ear design and open-back headphone that is comfortable, accurate, and has a neutral sound quality. The bass is slightly bumped up, and the mid and high frequencies are bumped down, giving it a colored sound signature. The sound stage is impressive, but not as large as the HD 600 by Sennheiser. According to a customer who has been mastering for over 25 years, the HD 600 has a flatter frequency range than the Focal and Audeze headphones. The LCD-X model is recommended for mixing and mastering house/techno over the Sennheiser HD 800S. For closed-back headphones, the Audeze LCD-XC is suggested instead of the Sennheiser HD820.
