- Asuka Takanashi est une jeune employée de banque de 24 ans, vive et travailleuse qui reve de se marier et de devenir mère au foyer. Toutefois, derrière ce cliché se cache un touchant désir de recréer le même havre de paix de son enfance et de construire un foyer pour sa famille. Mais ce rêve s'écroule lorsque son petit ami rompt avec elle. Elle trouve alors réconfort en la personne de Ryû Nanami, beau présentateur de la chaîne PTV, fraîchement revenu des États-Unis, qui lui remonte le moral et l'encourage dans sa recherche d'un mari. Seulement, Asuka va peu à peu être attirée par lui malgré leur évidente incompatibilité : Ryû Nanami sort d'une relation adultère avec une actrice, enchaîne les aventures sans lendemain et est absolument contre le mariage !
