Users can wear nitrile or latex gloves during use. It works best when a good layer covers everything, and there is no need to let it dry, simply run water over it to wash it off. The product is not intended to etch paint off metal. It is unknown if it works on marble, but it has been reviewed as efficient with glass. Removing the cream from the glass is made by simply washing it off. The bottle does not have a protective, removable seal on the lid. Some customers reported that the product crystallised and did not work. There is no need for specific brushes, and stained glass can be applied to a finished etching, although pigments are not recommended.
