The Black Diamond Half Dome Helmet is a comfortable and light climbing helmet. It has adjustable head and chin straps and padding in the top, making it easy to adjust and fold away. The helmet comes with headlamp straps, making it easy to attach a headlamp. However, there is no side impact protection. The helmet is UIAA rated for sporting activities but is not an arborist helmet. It is made in China and is available in different sizes, which can be determined by measuring the head. The durability of the helmet is directly proportional to use and UV exposure. It is easy to attach to a pack or clip on a rack and is a great improvement from the old Petzel shell helmet.
