fishpond Fly Boxes FPSMFP Editorial Review
The fishpond Shallow MagPad Fly Puck has garnered a mix of enthusiasm and concern among anglers. Users who highly praise this fly storage solution highlight its innovative magnetic pad, which keeps flies securely in place even in windy conditions and during the chaos of fishing. Many reviewers note its durability and the convenience of its compact size, allowing for easy transport in pocket vests. The design’s built-in tether loop has also received favorable mentions, as it provides an added layer of security while on the water. While the majority appreciate the efficiency of the magnetic feature and its effectiveness at stability, a few users expressed disappointment regarding its storage capacity and clumsy usability. Some feel that while its design is appealing, it does not maximize space as effectively as a traditional fly box. Additionally, the tight-fitting lid, while beneficial for preventing water entry, was pointed out as potentially difficult to manage for those with limited finger strength. Overall, the fishpond Shallow MagPad Fly Puck is celebrated for its innovative features and reliable performance, particularly for those who often utilize smaller flies. However, potential buyers should be aware of its limitations regarding storage capacity and ease of use. **
