About This Item
Introducing the PUREST AUDIO ST-PT-89 Turntable Strobe Disc/Alignment Protractor! Achieving the perfect speed for your turntable has never been easier with this essential accessory. Designed for use in artificial light, this turntable strobe disc allows you to accurately adjust the speed of your turntable to 33-1/3, 45, and 78rpm. The disc's pattern appears static when the turntable's speed is correct, thanks to the 50Hz/60Hz mains frequency.
Simply place the disc on your platter, turn on your light, and adjust your turntable's speed control until the pattern on the disc stops moving. It's that simple! But that's not all – on the rear of the disc, you'll find a handy diagram for cartridge alignment. This ensures that your cartridge is perfectly aligned, maximizing the performance and fidelity of your vinyl records.
Crafted from high-quality acrylic, this turntable mat provides a stable surface and reduces vibrations to enhance audio quality. It offers a smooth and grippy surface for your vinyl records, preventing slippage and improving playback accuracy. PUREST AUDIO Turntable Cartridges ST-PT-89 Editorial Review
The Acrylic Turntable Mat Cartridge Alignment Protractor Strobe Disc Stroboscope is a useful tool for aligning cartridges and adjusting turntable speed. The mat is made of high-quality white acrylic and is 2mm thick. It works well with a strobe light or equivalent, although some customers recommend using a specific app for this purpose. The mat can also be used for cartridge alignment using the Stevenson method. However, it is not suitable for setting anti-skate. The instructions provided are minimal, but the tool is relatively easy to use. The product has received mixed reviews, with some customers finding it helpful for aligning cartridges and general use as an acrylic mat, while others have found it inaccurate and lacking in instructions.
