This adapter is required for proper connection to reduce clearances to combustibles from 18 in. to 6 in., the closest clearance to a wall of any connector pipe. Make a clean translation through the ceiling when you connect it to the 6-inch stove pipe, so your home stays toasty all season long. The inner wall is made of stainless steel to ensure that the flue heats up faster, stays hot for a longer period, and minimizes the creation of creosote waste. This ensures that the longevity of the adapter will be long and be the same as the chimney. With the length being adjustable, you don't have to cut or crimp the product to suit your needs. Included in this kit is a DVL adapter, (2) 24-inch DVL double-wall black pipe, and a 12-inch DVL double-wall adjustable black pipe. Use this kit to connect appliances and chimneys for a typical 8-foot through-the-ceiling installation.
