The Kennedy Cup with Lid is highly recommended by an OT who has successfully used it with patients who have limited grasp, upper body strength, and/or coordination issues resulting from brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, etc. This cup is ideal for people who have difficulties with normal cups and it really doesn't spill like the picture suggests. It is also great to bring along on outings. However, one drawback is that liquid can sometimes spill on top of the cup, especially when the straw is not properly released after sipping. While it's not easy for some people to pick up and drink from it themselves, the cup's design ensures that it won't spill and make a mess if it falls on the floor.
