Despite being slightly harder to set, it's an affordable option that works well for its price. The alarm is audible, although users may need to amplify it if the surroundings are noisy. However, some users have had issues with the product. One user stated that despite being advertised to work with the HiLetgo K Type Temperature Sensor Temperature Probe, it did not. Another user received an ERR message, making it impossible to figure out what went wrong. The temperature controller was also bigger than expected.
