The Almond Wide Slicer is a kitchen device that is easy to use, clean, and suitable for slicing foods such as sweet potatoes, cabbage, onions, and other vegetables. It has three blades that are easy to install and use, making various strip widths for different foods. It is made of high quality and durable plastic materials and comes with a container that has rubber on the bottom to prevent sliding and provide ease in cleaning. Consumers found it surprising to use it to slice tomatoes, because tomatoes were too fragile, but having it chilled for a couple of hours will make it as easy as using an electric slicer. This slicer comes in a wide version with a cutting width of 4 15/16", excluding the handle, which is different from the jumbo Benriner. The product does not have additional blades available for purchase and needs professional sharpening if necessary. It is widely selected for its easy use compared to a v-slicer that usually jams with harder vegetables due to the sharp and efficient julienne blades. However, it is only intended for household use and not for kids.
