Horror Editorial Review
The Stand by Stephen King is a classic, apocalyptic novel that follows the journey of complex characters in the face of a deadly super flu that wipes out most of the world's population. King does an excellent job of bringing the characters and situations to life, making this one of his best books. However, it is important to note that the extended edition can be very detailed, with some reviewers noting that certain details contribute nothing to the story. Additionally, there are some instances of racially derogatory language used in the book. Despite these issues, The Stand is a must-read for fans of apocalyptic fiction.
