The Anti-Static Record Mat by AM Clean Sound is a product aimed at reducing static charge on records and keeping stray dust and hairs from clinging to them. However, some customers have experienced shedding of the mat's fibers onto records, making them difficult to remove without causing crackles on the vinyl. The thickness of the mat is inConsistent, and it does not resolve static completely for those in very dry regions. Nonetheless, for some customers, the product has had a positive impact on reducing static, resulting in much clearer sounds. A few customers also recommend purchasing the product in black as it is more effective. Overall, the product seems well made and fits well into turntables. However, it does not seem to work well on platters that are not grounded.
